Discover Scuba Diving

Have you ever wanted to see the underwater world but unsure if it’s for you? Have you been curious about scuba diving?

Then, Discover Scuba Diving is for you!

Discover Scuba Diving is a program that allows a non-certified diver to make one or two dives with OCA’s PADI scuba instructor.

Training dives will be performed in the pool or in confined open water, here you will learn the basic skill of scuba diving in shallow water. Follow with ocean dive with a maximum depth of 12 meters. OCA’s PADI scuba Instructor will give you an orientation covering the most basic elements of scuba diving before pool or confined water session.

You can choose to complete this program in these two most visited dive sites, Padangbai or Tulamben. Both sites have clear visibility with moderate warm water.

Padangbai – Blue Lagoon dive site is the most famous in Padang Bai. It is a perfect place for an easy fun dive, dive course and snorkelling. It is a white sandy bay with blocks of coral and fields of soft corals. Corals grow very shallow in this site, you often will see some sting rays, sea turtle, moray eel, lionfish and lots of colourful reef fishes. This site located about 1-hour drive by car from South Bali. All dive sites are only accessible by boat, in these cases we use the traditional boat (Jukung) that is personalized for divers.

Tulamben - The USAT Liberty Wreck is one of the most famous dive sites in Bali. The wreck lies on the volcanic sandy slope bottom from 6 meters to 30 meters depth. Overtime, the wreck is covered with beautiful colorful soft corals. Making it possible for you to explore the outside of the shipwreck. Here live some fishes like barracuda, giant grouper, bumphead parrotfish, Napoleon wrasse, moray eels and turtles. On the sandy bottom you will see garden eels pop up from the sand trying to catch food. How to get there? Tulamben is in the eastern coast of Bali, about 91 km or about 2.5 hours’ drive from South Bali. And this site accessible from shore.
